As originally introduced, SB 404 would provide child care workers with automatic access to the New Hampshire Child Care Scholarship program regardless of household income, so that child care workers can stay in the workforce once they become parents.

The Senate passed an amended version of the bill that provides no guarantee that the program will ever be implemented. The bill has advanced to the House Special Committee on Childcare, which will hold a public hearing on the bill on Wednesday, April 17 at 10:00 am at the Legislative Office Building in Room 104. 

TAKE ACTION:

• SIGN IN NEUTRAL on SB 404 and submit written testimony asking the Committee to restore the bill to its original intent.
• Email the Committee to urge them to restore the bill.
• Attend the hearing in person - let us know if you're interested.
