a.      Note from New Futures President, John Bunker
Yesterday I informed the New Futures Board of Directors of my decision to step down as President at the end of this year.
It has been an honor and privilege to serve as the founding president of New Futures. I have been fortunate to work with a dedicated staff and board of directors to accomplish several significant policy changes to reduce the impact of alcohol and other drug problems in New Hampshire. It has also been a rich and rewarding professional, and personal, experience to work with so many dedicated local, state, and national leaders during my tenure at New Futures.
After serving 13 years I believe that the timing of this transition is right for both me and New Futures. The organization is in great shape for the road ahead, and I look forward to my next challenge. The board has appointed a transition committee to implement a nine-month succession management plan.
I want to recognize and acknowledge the support of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation that provided the resources to launch the organization and build our advocacy capacity. I look forward to supporting the board during this transition process and then explore new professional opportunities as the next phase of my career beckons.
b.      You are Invited to Join Us in Following Key Bills in the NH General Court
