Our Programs
Community Leadership Initiative
The Community Leadership Initiative focuses on policy development and community leadership to reduce underage alcohol problems and increase access to treatment in New Hampshire.
A particular emphasis of the Community Leadership Initiative is to create a network of community leaders who will become advocates for policy change to reduce underage alcohol problems and increase access to treatment in New Hampshire.
Adolescent Treatment Initiative
The Adolescent Treatment Initiative (ATI) is aimed at improving the quality
and quantity of adolescent alcohol and other drug treatment services in
New Hampshire.
ATI was created after a 9-month planning process, including a statewide analysis of
adolescent treatment needs; a national review of selected "best practice" programs;
and a national assessment of selected foundations and how they address alcohol and other drug problems, specifically adolescent treatment.
Working collaboratively with private, public, and nonprofit partners, we will establish a comprehensive system of care for adolescents with alcohol and other drug problems.
State Strategy
In January 2004, New Futures (NF) announced its commitment to spearhead the formation of a statewide strategy to reduce underage alcohol problems in New Hampshire. This comprehensive state strategy will: provide a framework for reducing underage alcohol problems; involve many partners; and be New Hampshire specific. The state strategy will identify multiple initiatives for action with a three-year timeframe.
