How does New Futures accomplish its policy work?
The Legislative and Policy Workgroup of the Board of Directors works with the staff to determine the legislative priorities for the organization. Our Manager of Policy, working on consultation with our Government Relations firm, is responsible for implementing those priorities. For more information on our policy agenda, please contact Tricia Lucas, our Director of Policy and Leadership Development at tlucas@new-futures.org.

How does NF manage grants?
New Futures does not accept or fund any unsolicited proposals. We are responsible for managing the Adolescent Treatment Initiative, a five-year project to improve the quality and quantity of adolescent treatment services in the state. Funding has been made available to communities through this project to improve nonresidential treatment. For more information on this initiative, visit our website on the Adolescent Treatment Initiative or contact Joe Diament at jdiament@new-futures.org.

Does New Futures conduct research?
Our focus is on best practices and evidence-based strategies to reduce underage alcohol problems and increase access to treatment. New Futures does not conduct any research internally. We have funded attitude and opinion surveys through the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. To read these surveys, visit our publications page. For more information on best practices and evidence-based strategies to reduce underage alcohol problems and increase access to treatment, please contact John Bunker at jbunker@new-futures.org .
