New Futures Working together to reduce underage alcohol problems and to increase access to treatment in New Hampshire
UPDATE 5/14/2008

SENATE KILLS HB1197 (which would have eliminated all restrictions on “happy hour” advertising)

Thanks to the outstanding advocacy efforts of New Futures’ Leadership Partners who called and e-mailed their Senate members, the full Senate voted HB1197 Inexpedient to Legislate (ITL) at its session on May 8, 2008.

HB 1197 would have resulted in increased exposure of underage youth to alcohol advertising and conveyed a message that over-consumption is acceptable, fun and without risk.  The defeat of HB 1197 in the Senate demonstrates the commitment of New Futures Leadership Partners to legal, responsible alcohol use.  Thank you!
