The 2012 Legislative Session officially began on Wednesday, January 4th when the House and Senate convened to finish the 2011 session with action on more than 100 retained bills and to the begin their work on the more than 800 bills introduced in 2012.
We wanted to give you an update on the status of SB 286 in the House and highlight important upcoming advocacy opportunities.
Prescription drug availability in the United States and in New Hampshire has risen steadily since the 1990s, and so has the use and abuse of these medications. Nationwide, pharmacies have dispensed 83 million more opioid prescriptions in 2009 compared to 2000, an increase of 48%.
