January 2010
a. Happy New Year from the New Futures Staff! We hope that 2010 will be a healthy and happy year for all of you and look forward to seeing you in action, working to prevent underage alcohol problems and increase access to treatment and recovery in New Hampshire. Let us know how we can help!
b. Learn More about the Adolescent Treatment Initiative (ATI) As we hand ATI back to the NH Charitable Foundation to oversee its final year of data collection, we are pleased to be able to share a PowerPoint presentation, a video and reports that explain the goals, successes and lessons learned from the project thus far. www.new-futures.org/other-initiatives/adolescent-treatment-initiative/resources-2.html
c. Notes from New Futures President, John Bunker We have a strong pool of applicants and will interview candidates for the Closing the Addiction Treatment Gap Director position in early January. Our goal is to have the new director join us in early February. New Futures is actively planning to move our Exeter office operations to Concord in August 2010. We are exploring co-location with other nonprofits to maximize and leverage our resources. We will keep you posted as our final plans emerge. We are closely following the national health care debate and the potential impact on prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. A great resource to follow this important public policy debate is Faces and Voices of Recovery.
