National Alcohol and Drug Addiction Recovery Month
September marks the 20th anniversary of National Recovery Month. This celebration of Recovery has inspired millions of people to raise awareness about addiction, share their stories of recovery, and assist others who are still struggling. “Join the Voices for Recovery: Together We Learn, Together We Heal” is this year’s theme. You can download a Recovery Month toolkit and find recovery resources by visiting www.recoverymonth.gov.
Hundreds of events are planned across the country, including New Hampshire. Events range from a performance of the Totem Recovery Band in Manchester, to an Open House and educational presentation in Belmont. To learn more about what’s going on, check out the recovery month flyer and event calendar.
