DESCRIPTION OF THE PRESENTATION: This 6-hour training is targeted for New Hampshire’s 10 regional prevention coalition coordinators and their community partners. The purpose is to examine how to maximize your regions collaborative efforts, develop strategies to overcome barriers to collaborative coordination of services and gain knowledge from other regions about what works in capacity building. A community collaborative model to coordinate services with prevention, intervention, treatment, law enforcement/courts, and recovery services will be discussed. Participants will leave the training with a plan to coordinate services in their own regions. Participants will be asked to complete the following Learning Needs Resource Assessment questions:
- What are your successes with building capacity and getting buy-in and engagement with community partners? Please list as many specific responses as possible.
- What’s not working well? What are the challenges/barriers?
- What lessons have you learned about what not to do?
- How do you coordinate services in your community and/or region?
- What is a bright idea you have to move your collaborative efforts forward?
- What specifically do you want to come away with from this training?
