Dr. Bunker serves as President of New Futures and directs and coordinates operations for the organization. He is responsible for management of the administrative aspects of the organization including the agency’s financials. He provides direction and leadership.
John’s thirty plus years of experience in the alcohol, other drug problem and addiction field began with his Masters of health Science and Doctor of Science from the Johns Hopkins University, School of Hygiene and Public Health. He served on the New England Institute on Addictions Studies Board of Directors, the New Hampshire Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention Commission, and the New Hampshire Public Health Association Board of Directors. He currently serves on the New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits Board of Directors and chairs the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Local Initiative Funding Partners Program National Advisory Committee.
April came to New Futures in October of 2009 as the administrative assistant. A graduate of UNH, she brings over 10 years experience in customer service and business practices. She is very excited to be part of an amazing organization.
April has lived in New Hampshire her whole life and enjoys everything this state has to offer. She currently resides in Milton, NH, right on the lake, with her kitties. Her favorite hobby is reading, mostly mystery books, by Dan Brown, Kay Hooper, Heather Graham and many more.
Noreen M. Cremin
Office Manager
Since 2007, Noreen has been responsible for overall administrative oversight for the agency, technology, and the website. Noreen joined the staff at New Futures in 2001 as the Program Support Associate, providing assistance to the Community Leadership Initiative and other programmatic functions for the organization.
Before joining New Futures, Noreen spent over six years at Casey Family Services in Concord. Noreen’s educational and employment background is in Psychology and Education. When not working, Noreen can be found trying to keep up with her daughter and other interests.
Since early 2009, Aviva’s role has been to identify, analyze and translate research and data to support internal and external efforts to reduce underage alcohol problems and increase access to treatment. Such information is used to frame, develop and support New Futures' Policy Initiatives and in leadership development and capacity building activities (including technical assistance, training and material development) at the state and local levels.
Aviva joined New Futures in March 2006 as the coordinator of the State Strategy for Reducing Underage Alcohol Problems. She came to New Futures after several years of providing support to community coalitions funded by the NH Department of Health and Human Services’ Tobacco Prevention and Control Program. Aviva started her public health career as a maternal and child health extension agent with the United States Peace Corps in Cameroon and earned her Masters in Public Health specializing in Health Behavior and Health Education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Linda is responsible for building and maintaining New Futures’ “army of advocates”. Officially known as the Community Leadership Initiative (CLI), this statewide network of citizen advocates is periodically mobilized to take action on policy issues related to alcohol and other drug problems. The CLI has engaged hundreds of grassroots volunteers who provide a voice for these issues and have been effective in changing public policy in New Hampshire.
Linda received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Hampshire and her Master’s Degree in Community Psychology with a specialty in addictions from Springfield College School of Human Services. Linda joined New Futures in 1998 and has over thirty years experience in the human service field in New Hampshire.
- Policy Director
Tricia joined New Futures in January 2007 as its Policy Director. She is responsible for identifying legislative and policy priorities for the Board and for the overall planning, management, and oversight of New Futures’ legislative activities. In addition, she seeks to identify opportunities for collaboration between and among New Futures and public and nonprofits entities on issues of mutual concern such as insurance parity, public funding for treatment services, and the need for integrated treatment.
Tricia came to New Futures after fourteen years at the Department of Health and Human Services where she served in a number of legal and administrative positions and developed expertise in program areas related to children’s services, juvenile justice, mental health, and health care. She has extensive experience with the state legislative and budget process. Tricia is a graduate of the College of Wooster and Harvard Law School and came to public service after a stint in private practice as a corporate attorney. She was the recipient of the 2004 Caroline Gross Fellowship to attend the Senior Executives in Public Service Program at the Kennedy School of Government. She represents New Futures on the steering committee of the New Hampshire Child Advocacy Network of the New Hampshire Children’s Alliance and on the leadership team of NH Voices for Health. She currently serves as a member of the City of Manchester Youth Services Advisory Board and as a member and treasurer of the Leadership NH Board of Directors. She previously served as a trustee and board chair of the Board of Trustees of the Derryfield School.
Amy joined New Futures in March 2010. She directs an initiative jointly funded by the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and the Open Society Institute.
Amy has over 20 years of experience working with youth, young adults, and families including: substance abuse prevention and treatment, runaway and homeless youth prevention and intervention; and work with adjudicated youth and their families. Amy’s long tenure at Child and Family Services stewarded the growth of their adolescent substance abuse prevention and treatment programming. Amy has received national recognition as the NH Reclaiming Futures Treatment Fellow and has served on a number of non-profit Boards, most recently serving as the President of the New Hampshire Alcohol and other Drug Service Provider’s Association.
Susanne Weaver
Susanne joined New Futures in January of 2009 bringing over 10 years of experience providing bookkeeping, payroll and office management services to small businesses in Southern NH. Susanne’s educational background is in business administration with a major in paralegalism.
Susanne is happy to be working with an organization that does so much to reduce addiction and promote awareness. Susanne is a dedicated mom to a phenomenal son and enjoys spending time in nature when not working.
