HB 1205 would ban transgender girls from playing on school sports teams that align with their gender identity at public middle and high schools. Sports and athletics offer opportunities for all students to build a sense of belonging and learn important life skills like teamwork, leadership, confidence, and self-discipline. No child should be denied these opportunities.

 

The Senate Education Committee will hold a public hearing on HB 1205 on Tuesday, April 30 at 9 am at the Legislative Office Building in Room 101.
