An Employer's Guide to Mental Health in the Workplace
Please join BIA for "Employers' Guide to Mental Health in the Workplace, presented by Tufts Health Freedom Plan." This informative luncheon will take place on Wednesday, May 31st from 11:30am - 1:30pm at the Radisson Hotel, Manchester.
One of the most overlooked workplace wellness issues is mental health. The conditions run the gambit from stress, depression, and substance abuse to personality disorders, PTSD, and bipolar disorders. With public awareness growing about destigmatizing mental health issues, employers will be addressing these challenges directly more often. What can business owners do to encourage recognition and to provide opportunities for treatment? What are the appropriate accommodations? What mistakes must they avoid in handling employees dealing with short-term or chronic illnesses? Panelists include:
- Nicholas Casolaro, Attorney, McLane Middleton P.A.
- Connie Roy-Czyowski, VP of Human Resources, Northeast Delta Dental
- Peter Evers, Executive Director, Riverbend CMHC
- Steve Kozak, Director of Behavioral Services, Tufts Health Freedom Plan
The cost to attend is $40 for BIA members, BIA Capitol Connect members, and $55 for future BIA members. Cancellations accepted up to one week prior to event. After that, substitutions are allowed.
