CONCORD, NH – New Futures, a statewide behavioral health policy and advocacy organization, commends Governor Sununu on releasing a budget that includes substantial resources for turning the tide on New Hampshire’s substance misuse crisis. New Futures President and CEO Linda Saunders Paquette released the following statement shortly after the governor’s budget address.
“Governor Sununu has shown leadership and commitment to addressing substance use disorder and behavioral health issues in New Hampshire. I commend the Governor for including significant resources in his budget for prevention, treatment, and recovery services, and for development of the behavioral health workforce. While New Futures’ initial review of the Governor’s budget is encouraging, we look forward to analyzing House Bill 2 to gain a better understanding of details of the budget.”
